“We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Teilhard de Chardin

Many times we look at life and we believe we are a slave to our circumstances. Nothing can be done to change what has happened and so there is no use in trying to change the future.

Part of that is correct, we cannot change the past and the more we think about it we can allow it to influence our future BUT, this does not have to be the case.

When we have a better understanding of our human experience. This is where a better understanding of the three Principles – Mind, Consciousness and Thought, play a pivotal role.

First introduced by Sydney Banks, he stated that these three principles were the foundation to the human experience

Mind – the universal energy that animates all of life, the source of innate health and well-being.

Consciousness – the ability to be aware of one’s life.

Thought – the power to think and thereby to create one’s experience of reality.

“Mind” has been likened to the electricity running a movie projector, and “Thought” to the images on the film. “Consciousness” is likened to the light from the projector that throws the images onto the screen, making them appear real.

Rather than attempting to get people to change their minds and think more positively individuals begin to understand the power of thought. The focus is on innate health with the change occurring from the inside- out. With individuals more aware of thought and how it is directly linked to feelings and emotions people are able to make better assessments of their situations and act accordingly. This work has been applied to many areas of life

    Prevention and Education                  Parenting

    Personal well-being                              Improving personal relationships

    Stress reduction                                    Crime reduction

For individuals, groups and communities that require a change to their current circumstances, the Three Principles have been very successful. Case studies to follow. Based upon an experiential understanding that reached far beyond a transfer of information, significant long term change can be experienced.
